CROSSROADS YOUTH GROUP

March 27th, 2010 | 0 Comments

IMG_2251Carol and I attended the regular Friday evening youth group meeting from our local church in Freudenstadt, Crossroads International Church, on Friday evening, 26 March. This group is led by Soeren and Tabea Am Ende, two ETS students. I spoke to the group and we enjoyed being with the youth. We are privileged to be able to spend much time with young people as we serve in Germany. This is a great group and we love them.

THIRD-LEVEL STUDENTS

IMG_2241At European Theological Seminary in Germany, our bachelor degree students do the class work in three years. So our third-level students are in their last semester with us. Carol and I have been their class advisors for their entire three years. We meet as a class twice a month, and did so again on Friday, 26 March. Please pray for them as they decide about plans for ministry or further education after this year. We love each of them and will miss their presence when they go on to do what God has called them to do.

NEW LOCATION: FIRST SERVICE

IMG_2225IMG_2223Our local church, Crossroads International Church, moved from meeting in the ETS chapel in Kniebis to the larger city of Freudenstadt on 14 March. It had been in the ETS chapel for seven years. I was privileged to preach this first service in the new location, and Carol was the service moderator. Our pastor, Jivko Jeliazkov, is leading the church into a broader outreach in Freudenstadt, whose name means “City of Joy”. It is my privilege to serve there as co-pastor.

KNIEBIS AND SINSHEIM

IMG_222228 February was my last time to preach at Crossroads International Church located at the ETS chapel in Kniebis. The Church will be moving to Freudenstadt on 14 March. Then on 7 March I preached again at Sinsheim, where the Church of God is pastored by Eberhard Wirth. It was wonderful to see Andreas Waidler again, a former graduate of ETS, who translated the sermon for me. I appreciate all who are my preaching partners as translators.
