ANOTHER GREAT SECRETARY

February 26th, 2010 | 0 Comments

IMG_2215When the Spring semester began on 9 February, I was assigned a new student secretary. I appreciate the faithful and great service that Petra Fridrich gave as secretary during the Fall semester. My new secretary is Yasmin Zeier, a third-year student from Germany. My secretaries must do much work in translation of papers and exams. I appreciate each one who has served as my secretary. Without their help, I could do very little.

A GREAT SUNDAY AFTERNOON

IMG_2213IMG_2209On 21 February, the worship service began at 3 PM in Word International Ministries Frankfurt. Beforehand, we all met for prayer at 2 PM. This congregation is largely composed of Filipino people, but we had some from Africa, Germany, and the USA. Manny DeLeon is doing a great work serving as pastor and the people are excited about Jesus and His kingdom work. It was a great afternoon together with God’s presence. I preached and the fellowship meal afterwards was wonderful with delicious Filipino food.

IMG_2200IMG_2199On Valentines’s Day, I preached in Kniebis at Crossroads International Church, but Carol and I were in Frankfurt this weekend. I taught a seminar on evangelism for the Word International Ministries church there, which is pastored by a couple who graduated from our seminary: Manny and Lilly DeLeon. The seminar went from Friday evening through most of the day on Saturday, 19 & 20 February. The people are excited about reaching out evangelistically to the major city of  Frankfurt. We share their passion for souls.

KREHWINKEL VISIT

February 7th, 2010 | 0 Comments

IMG_2176On 31 January we ended up the month in our home church in Kniebis, Germany, where I preached. The students at ETS finished up their week of intensive classes (J-Term) on Friday. Today,  7 February, we drove two hours to Krehwinkel, the oldest existing church building of the Church of God in Germany. There I preached, with my translator being another fellow-missionary, Tom Rosson, who is regional education director in eastern Europe. The pastor at Krehwinkel, Frank Wetzel, is a dedicated man and committed to leading the church forward in the power of the Holy Spirit.
