THIRD JUNE TRIP TO MICHIGAN
June 30th, 2009 | 0 Comments
Our itineration in June ended on the 28th with our third visit and missions service in Michigan this summer. We were at the Family Worship Center Church of God in Clinton Township which is pastored
by Lee Sparre. It was exciting to see a family of five baptized in water to start the service. This church is concerned about souls. We appreciate their partnership in missions.
On Wednesday, 17 June, we spoke at the Missions prayer group at Westmore Church of God in Cleveland, TN. We are grateful for this group led by Grant & Janice McClung who have faithfully prayed for so many of us missionaries over the years. It was wonderful to pray with them and share what God is doing in Europe and at ETS.
We began our summer itineration services 7 June in Fort Gratiot, Michigan, at Riverside Tabernacle Church of God. Richard L. Shelton is pastor there. It was 20 years ago this summer that we visited this church as missionaries for the first time. We look much older, but the fire for what we are doing still burns as it did then. It was good to be back in Carol’s home state again. Carol grew up in Ferndale, Michigan, a northern suburb of Detroit.
