CRYSTAL WEEKEND

March 22nd, 2009 | 0 Comments

I spent the weekend in Schwenningen, Germany, ministering at the Christian Faith Church, also known as the Crystal Forum. The church is pastored by the father of one of the ETS students, Pastor Jakob Friesen. It is a dynamic church with several hundred people. I spoke for two sessions on Saturday, 21 March, at a men’s conference. ETS student, Oliver Muller, went as my translator. It was a great men’s day and ended with a meaningful prayer time and unity among the older men and the young men. Sunday, 22 March, I preached in the morning service. Several came and said that God really spoke to them that morning. From this church come four students to ETS.

GREAT WEEKEND

The week ended up with a flurry of activity. On Thursday and Friday, 12-13 March, the pastors from the American Servicemen’s Center churches came to ETS for a leadership meeting. We enjoyed attending the evening services, the first having G. Dennis McGuire as preacher. It was a bit of culture shock being in American services. On Saturday night, 14 March, there was a large youth worship service at ETS called Kingdom Seekers Night. There are two such events annually. The ETS chapel was full of youth. The ETS band played during worship time. The speaker was ETS student, Rosalie Suarez. She serves Rodney as his secretary and we were very proud of her as she was used by God to preach. Several youth were really seeking God afterwards. God is at work in the youth. Sunday, 15 March, I preached for the second week in Lauchringen. A great weekend it was as God touched lives!

ON THE BORDER

As we did in January, we returned to Lauchringen on 8 March to preach at Quelle Des Lebens Christian Church. It is very near the Swiss border and pastored by the father of ETS student, Nelli Walter. He has to have some physical therapy for an injury, and we will help him with the preaching the next two weeks. Classes at ETS are going well, and it has been snowing MUCH. Please pray for Pastor Walter’s full recovery.
