November 29th, 2008 | 0 Comments

Friday, 28 November, was the Family Night at ETS for the Fall semester. It was called “Extreme” night and we came dressed in ”extreme” outfits. The ETS students, and staff, and families join together for such evenings once each semester. We have a FUN time and play some games, watch student-made videos, and EAT.  These young people are the best!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day celebration on Thursday evening. The ETS faculty and staff met for a meal, games, and singing. All of us, Europeans and Americans, have much for which to thank our God. Fellowship together was the best part. We thank God for all of our supprt partners and family back in “the former colonies”. God bless you.

ETS observed a Day of Prayer and Fasting on Wednesday, November 19. We had classes until 11 AM, when we met for our weekly chapel service. Harmut Steeb, general secretary of the Evangelical Alliance of Germany, was our guest speaker. In the afternoon we held a communion and feet washing service. It was a good day filled with the felt presence of the Lord.

GERMAN CHURCH OF GOD CONVENTION

November 5th, 2008 | 0 Comments

The annual Church of God convention was held October 27 – 31 at Kirchheim. ETS closed that week and we traveled north to attend the convention. The ETS students did an oustanding ministry as worship leaders and children’s ministry workers. Two of our faculty were speakers: Dr. Michael Dieterich and myself. A special guset speaker from America, Dr. Fred Garmon, also spoke in the evenings. The services were blessed by God’s presence and we are excited about what God will continue to do in the German churches.
