TESTIMONIES OF GRACE

July 21st, 2008 | 0 Comments

baptismsjul08.jpg We heard four wonderful personal testimonies of God’s grace as each candidate for water baptism spoke before being baptized at Crossroads International Church in Kniebis on Sunday, July 20. God really changes lives and it is evident that He is at work in these four. We had a family service at the church and then a cookout for lunch. The baptism service followed in the ETS pool and then we had cake together. It was a wonderful day of celebrating God’s grace in fellowship with other believers. I assisted the pastor, Jivko, with the baptisms.

MOVING DAY

rodneyboxes.jpg We moved to our new home on Friday, July 11, with the help of friends. Three students: Florentin, Sebastian, and Vadim helped us, as well as Martin (ETS Housemaster) and Jivko (our pastor). Another student, Rosalie, had helped Carol clean earlier. It is great to have such a family to help. We now live in the ETS building with the students and our neighbors, the Schmidgalls (president of ETS). We are happy to be nearer the students, and hopefully can be a better campus pastor with more accessibility. Our address remains the same since we have already been getting our mail at the school.

25 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

25years.jpg 25years2.jpg Carol and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on July 2. We spent a day together driving about an hour to Triberg, Germany, and walking around the town famous for cuckoo clocks. The drive was lovelydown through the Black Forest mountains, and we enjoyed a delicious meal at a little German restaurant. We thank God for blessing us with 25 years to serve Him together.

THANK GOD FOR HIS PRESENCE

I finished out the month preaching at our home church in Kniebis, Crossroads International Church, on June 29. It was the fifth Sunday I had preached in June at four different churches. God had graciously blessed the altar times throughout the month, but we praise Him for His presence blessing many this day. I had preached on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and many prayed fervently with hunger for more of God. I do not know the actual results per individual, but I do know God did a great work in many lives. Praise God and to Him all glory is due. People are seeking God in Germany everywhere we go. God will honor this seeking Him and we are anticipating even greater things. Pray for Germany!
