Easter Season

March 19th, 2008 | 0 Comments

I finished up the third month of teaching the German ILD (MIP) class that meets in Kniebis by teaching on Saturday, March 15. We had a good three months of learning about The Pastoral Epistles. The seminary classes close this afternoon, March 19, for an Easter break. Most students will be away doing practical ministry such as ETS Singers tour, witnessing on the streets in Berlin, working in camps for the handicapped, and doing ministry in Paris. I will be using the time to prepare lectures for the rest of the semester.

Romanian Memories

img_0898.jpgWhile teaching in Dublin, Ireland, from February 29-March 2, we stayed with the family of Adrian. They showed us much kind Romanian hospitality and prepared delicious Romanian food for us. This reminded us of our years as missionaries living in Romania, 1990-1992. We enjoyed refreshing a bit of our Romanian language with them.

img_0881.jpgCarol and I traveled to Dublin, Ireland, to teach the weekend of February 29 – March 1 at a Bible school held in the Betel Church. This is a church of Romanian immigrants, which is one of three such churches in Dublin. I taught on The Pastoral Epistles and the classes were well attended. On Sunday, March 2, we attended two different Romanian churches. Betel had about 1,000 in attendence that evening, and the morning church had about 300. I shared from God’s Word in th evening service and helped to serve Communion.
