The European Theological Seminary had its graduation ceremony on Oct. 21 with about 300 in attendance. 17 received the Bachelor of Theology degree, with 9 of them being from Germany, 1 from Brazil, 1 from Moldovia, 1 from Poland, 1 from Malawi, 1 from Tanzania, 1 from Romania, 1 from India, and 1 from Armenia. There were also 3 Diplomas in Church Ministries granted to 1 German, 1 English, and 1 Spanish student. Dr. Lamar McDaniel, a former president of the seminary, was the guest speaker.
The Fall weather has been quite mild, and we are enjoying it for as long as we can. We have really enjoyed getting to know the great students of ETS, and our faculty/staff colleagues are the best. We are learning German in classes along with several non-German students. Dr. Paul Schmidgall is our professor, and we really enjoy the language. Pray that we will learn it well and quickly. Our neighbors speak the Badish dialect, and we are even learning a bit of that.
