Special Wedding
June 18th, 2007 | 0 Comments
Our daughter, Leslie, was married to James Allen on June 16 at Family Worship Center Church of God in Augusta, Maine. This was very memorable for Leslie since we pastored this church for seven years, and now it is pastored by Rev. Kevin & Heather McAllister. Pastor McAllister assisted Rodney in officiating the ceremony. Leslie is attending Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor and studying to be a registered nurse. James will also be attending the same college this Fall. It was a pleasure for us to meet his family. James’ father is a Master Sgt. in the Air Force and presently serving in Iraq. His brother is in Navy boot camp. We welcome James into our family.

Located in Lebanon, New Hampshire, on the Connecticut River that forms the line with Vermont, is the New Beginnings Church of God. Pastor Andy and Maggie Johnson welcomed us for the June 10 evening service. They lead a church that is concerned with reaching the lost and have a heart for missions.
Concord is the capital of New Hampshire and the home to Gospel Light Church of God, pastored by Peter & Linda Preston. We were with them for a service on the morning of June 10. The church people kindly responded to partnering with us, and we were excited to see what God is doing in their church. They served a wonderful meal after the service, where they incorprated German foods.
East Machias Church of God in “Downeast” Maine was where we worshiped in the evening of June 3. The church served a delicious meal afterwards, and we enjoyed the warm hospitality of Pastor Doug and Diane Watermolen in their Whiting home. Our joining together in reaching people for Christ will yield fruit in Europe and the Machias area.
